Landscape architecture Proposal for Shopping Center in Korinth

Landscape architecture Proposal for Shopping Center in Korinth

Date: May 2015

Architect: Stavros Filosofopoulos

The proposal consists of hard and soft landscape. The main concept was to create open spaces for people to enjoy their day close by the sea, by shopping, drinking a coffee, walking along the promenade and letting their children play without care.

The site is very exposed to the salty air and the cold winds from north, so the trees chosen to create shadow, had to be resistant to these conditions, as the Platanus and the Elaeagnus.

Hardy, low plants create waves of color and volume on the green spaces, such as grasses, lavender, perovskias etc.
