Private Residence in Kefalari
Date: July 2013
Arch. Engineers: M.SATON
The Proposal was driven by the architects’ idea to enclose the garden into the house, so as to become one with it. The small atrium in the center offers a lot of light to the house and is treated like a small courtyard, with an orange tree and lots of perennials.
On the side garden, all walls are covered with climbers or creeping plants, to create an overgrown atmosphere. Little paths lead you from the entrance to the central back garden, with grass and a big olive tree.
There are a lot of productive plants as well as an aquatic collection close to the entrance, in a little pool. All species chosen are very resistant to shadow.
