Refurbishment of green areas of zea marine, Pireus

The goal of our proposal is the aesthetic and functional improvement of the waterfront of the Zea Marine and around the Marine Museum which will lead to the upgrade of the immediate environment of the existing buildings and raise their value.

Our proposal’s intentions are:
1. To create a clean and friendly environment for the visitors
2. To become a model for similar projects and
3. To introduce plants and materials with sustainability, so as to reduce maintenance requirements
This is achieved by:
The improvement of the drainage conditions and the substrate of plants
Removing damaged plants and lawn
The improvement and redesign of the plants layout
The redesign of the irrigation system for water saving
Introducing new verities of plants with vivid colors
Increasing the number of evergreen trees & shrubs
The selection of plants resistant to the climatic conditions of the area
Creating sitting areas for the visitors to rest and meet
